IEEE Communications Society promotes the advancement of science, technology and applications in communications and related disciplines. The IEEE Communications Society, Santa Clara Valley chapter (ComSoc SCV) is an active chapter that holds monthly meetings (usually in the TI auditorium or Santa Clara University on the second Wednesday of each month).
The events’ topics are related to wired and wireless communication systems, cloud computing, edge/fog computing, Internet of Things, and security. The chapter also hosts and sponsors other events including workshops and field trips.
ComSoc SCV is run by a small and intrepid band of (unpaid) volunteers. We are always looking for more help — time and effort (from individuals) and financial (from corporate sponsors). Please contact us if you’d like to give a presentation, run a workshop, or have any questions for us.
Mission: IEEE’s core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
Vision: IEEE will be essential to the global technical community and to technical professionals everywhere, and be universally recognized for the contributions of technology and of technical professionals in improving global conditions.
